And typo3.org also has a feature area with a whole bunch of features described: https://typo3.org/cms/features/
Both are very nice.
But, as a user, I find it confusing. Why 2 separate feature areas?
As a contributor, I think about how can we achieve more with the resources we have. Why write (more-or-less) duplicate content? Why not spend the time on contributing to the documentation ... ? :wink:
But, apart from that: It might be nice to add some links to typo3.org on the typo3.com pages.
(I probably should have raised this issue for typo3.com, but it doesn't have a public issue tracker)._Ready for sprinthttps://git.typo3.org/services/t3o-sites/typo3.org/typo3.org/-/issues/414Easily find most important information (contact, quick links, how to contribu...2024-03-25T20:26:53ZspetersEasily find most important information (contact, quick links, how to contribute) for each team~~I created this [team page](https://docs.typo3.org/h/typo3/docs-homepage/draft/en-us/Home/Teams.html) (note: this is a link to a draft area. ~~It was noted, that we already have a team page on typo3.org. That is correct and I think I will change this to direct to https://typo3.org/community/teams/~~ (has been removed)
But I find it quite useful to have this information in one place. I found that it is sometimes not so easy to find (e.g. **Slack Channel, how to contribute, Issues**) on the team pages. especially since we have so many different places for issues and every team works a little differently. So I am suggesting to either:
1. find a template for having these quick links on every team page in the same way (e.g. in a content element with title "Quick links" or something similar)
2. or have this overview page on typo3.org
3. Other method for making these things easily findable for contributors / team members
The information I am suggesting to add:
* link to contribution guide or page
* Slack channel and link to channel
* link to issues
* info about regular meetings (e.g. slack call or link to that information)
sometimes the information may slightly vary for regular contributors / team members. It might be useful to also add Slack channel for team members (but I would assume once someone is in a team they should know this ...)

* [ ] Add link to main Fluid documentation start page (once ready ...?)
* remove history or move it down on the page?
It might also make sense, to move the fluid page as subpage of documentation (pid=23) and redirect /fluid to https://typo3.org/help/documentation/fluid. In a next step, the documentation page on typo3.org could be used as general documenation start page and docs.typo3.org mapped to it (but that is not decided yet, I just see that as a good idea to make docs on typo3.org / docs.typo3.org work more seamlessly).

At the typo3.org DevDays 2019 Sprint we adjusted GitLab labels to a more uniform format, also planning to focus more on group labels for better sorting. The feedback forms have their own project-specific set of labels which we should switch away from to have as few project-specific labels as possible.
### Further details
The Feedback form configuration for typo3.org includes a set of labels and a configurable label for each feedback type selection.
### Proposal
Adjust the existing labels in the feedback form configuration to reflect the group labels from the t3o group! https://git-t3o.typo3.org/groups/t3o/-/labels
### What does success look like, and how can we measure that?
The issues created from the typo3.org feedback form use t3o group labels instead of project labels from the typo3.org repository
**Acceptence Criterias**
* [ ] Change the labels from the Feedback form to use t3o group labels (by name)

Wha...I've been working on adding some [information about events to the Contribution Guide](https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/ContributionWorkflowGuide/Community/Index.html#events) that might be interesting to (potential) core contributors.
What I am missing are 1 central page each for these 2 events with general information, including:
* target audience, prerequisites (e.g. Should you already be familiar with contribution workflow to attend? What skill / experience level is required?)
* costs, reimbursements
* whom to contact for more information
* preparation: how to prepare yourself for the event (*if* this makes sense)
* motivation (see https://typo3.com/blog/what-you-gain-by-taking-part-in-typo3-events/)
* information for potential hosts and sponsors
There is lots of information to be found about specific Code Sprints and Review Fridays (e.g. recap of event as t3o news or on typo3.com blog).
Examples:
* [Recap Review Friday](https://typo3.org/article/recap-typo3-review-friday-in-june-2018/)

* [Recap Code Sprint Padua](https://typo3.org/article/recap-typo3-core-code-sprint-in-padua-italy/)
I think t3o is the best fit for this and not typo3.com/blog or docs.typo3.org.

It would be great to have permalinks as starting points where you can link to from the blog or from the documentation.
# Page for core contributors
should mostly contain links to:
Basic information
- core contribution guide: https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/ContributionWorkflowGuide/
- Info about TYPO3 core project: https://typo3.org/community/teams/typo3-development
How to get connected: Core development events and more ...
- Sprints: there could be some general info and then link to events with "Sprint" selected: https://typo3.org/community/events/detail/all/all/ (the selection of "Sprint" currently does not work)
- patch Friday (check with TYPO3 GmbH if this is an official recurring event, can't find information)
- development days: also general info and link to events with "Official TYPO3 Events" selected
Most of the information is already there somewhere on T3O (or on the blog). What I'm looking for is one page as a starting point for (potential) core contributors.
